Setting Intentions, Welcome to Josh’s Thoughts
Hello, and welcome to the first ever Josh Reports blog post, aka “Josh’s Thoughts”. This post will be a simple setting of intentions for what this blog will be about going forward. First however a little background on myself.
My name is Josh, and I'm the founder of Josh Reports. I’ve been running Josh Reports now for nearly four years, and before that worked in and around the ski industry for numerous years, including being a ski tech at The Powder House here locally, and the Tamarack Ski Shop in Whitefish Montana, where I was also the Snow Reporter for Whitefish Mountain Resort. In my years in the industry I've spent much of my time learning about gear, technology, and ski industry politics, and how it all works together. It's been an interesting journey to say the least, where I have learned and grown and changed as much, if not more than the industry itself has. It is now my mission with this blog to share my insights, and knowledge of the industry
I am continuously looking to find ways to grow and shape my contributions to the ski industry in an effort to do my own little part to help bring stoke and positivity and value to the sport that has given me so much, as well as find ways to continue growing a career in the industry for myself, and to hopefully become a trusted voice and resource for snow sports knowledge, ideas, and conversations.
In that goal, this blog will be my place to come and write about the goings on in the industry, gear reviews on kit I’m using season to season, further dives into topics to support my on and off podcast "Apres Chats", and any other ways I think of to continue my contribution to bring a positive benefit to the snow sports space.
